Topic: Getting started in A.R.D.F. (Amateur Radio Direction Finding)

W6JAY, will share how he got started in the sport of ARDF along with basic information others need to join into this rewarding aspect of Ham Radio. Details on the International ARDF competition and what it takes to build and use equipment in this sport will be presented. W6JAY is a ARDF Champion winning 18 medals in International Competition.

Jay is an ARDF Champion winning 18 medals in International Competition. As a member of Team USA he will be competing in the 2006 USA ARDF Championships in North Carolina, April 8 - 9, 2006 and 13th World ARDF Championships, September 12 - 17, 2006 on Black Sea Coast (south of Bourgas), Bulgaria. This will be Jay’s third World Championship, China 2000, and Czech Republic 2004. He is co-winner of the Hiram Percy Maxim Award for 2003 and the winner of the Amateur Radio NEWSLINE 2003 Young Ham of the Year. Jay has spoken in the past at Conventions, Scout Award Dinners and Club Meetings.
