I have been a ham
since 1972, formerly WB6HPX, now I hold Extra Class license AE6JM.
I am a life member of ARRL, a VE, and also CE Examiner and Teach
all 3 levels of EMCOMM Courses from ARRL. I
serve in the following field appointments, Asst Director for Emergency
Communications SW Division, Asst Section Mgt for Training and
Deveopment Orange Section, and local govrnment liaison.
I am vice chairman of PASSCOMM, the govt sponsored emergency
management committee for the cities of Calimesa, Beaumont, Banning,
Cabazon, and Morongo Indian Reservation.
I represented ARRL at the State Planning Meetings to
redo the California Statewide Strategic Emegency Plan, spring
of 2005.
I am a veteran of the USAF, now a retired emergency room
and pediatric nurse.
I am also a member of the International Association of
Emergency Managers. |

PLEASE NOTE:
** Sun. 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Joe Madas will
offer a FEMA NIMS IS700 - “Introduction to NIMS” course
that is mandatory for all that participate in EMCOMM with public
service agencies. The whole course and testing will be a max of
three hours with breaks, and participants will receive a FEMA
certificate of completion in the mail. Carl Gardenias will be
assisting. Class is FEMA approved. Limit would be 30 participants.
Use VEC Test Room for this course on Sunday.
